The challenge was to maintain the character of the original pitch pine sliding sash windows while dramatically improving their thermal performance. The Solution: A full restoration of the historic timber combined with the installation of Landvac Vacuum Insulated Glazing (VIG). This slim-profile glass delivers superior insulation (U-value as low as 0.4W/m2K) and noise reduction, all while fitting seamlessly into the original narrow sash frames.
