1. What is energy-saving glass?

Different from ordinary glass, energy-saving glass itself has a better energy-saving properties: thermal insulation. All glasses with this characteristic can be considered as energy-saving glasses.

2. Types of energy-saving glass

A. Insulating glass

Insulating glasses ,also called IGU(insulating glass units), usually are made of two or three panes of glass separated by a spacer material and sealed together at the edge. It can effectively restrictthe flow of gas layer and has a better performance in thermal insulation. The heat transfer system of insulating glass is low.

B.Vacuum glazing
Vacuum glazing is similar to insulating glass , but the space between the two flat glass panes are vacuum. And the edge is sealed with metal material. The core of vacuum glass is the vacuum chamber with which the vacuum glass has excellent heat insulation, sound insulation, anti-condensation and other capabilities.Take Landvac Energy saving vacuum glazing as an example, compared with insulated glass, the energy consumption per unit of floor area is reduced by approximately 20%.

C.Low-E glass
Low-E glass, also known as low-emissivity glass, is a film-based product composed of multiple layers of metal or other compounds plated on the glass surface. The coating layer has the characteristics of high transmission of visible light and high reflection of mid- and far-infrared rays, which makes it have excellent heat insulation effect and good light transmittance compared with ordinary glass and traditional architectural coated glass.
