Why can LandVac tempered vacuum-insulating glazing solve the problem of traffic noise?
2023-11-20
LandVac tempered vacuum insulating glazing (VIG) is a new type of vacuum glass that has a vacuum cavity between two panes of glass, which reduces the sound transmission through the glass.
LandVac can solve the problem of traffic noise because it can block the sound waves from the outside more effectively than conventional glass, such as double glazing or triple glazing. which has an air gap between the glass panes. The air gap can still allow some sound waves to pass through, especially low-frequency sounds. The vacuum layer of LandVac vacuum glass prevents the sound waves from vibrating the glass panes and transferring the sound energy to the inside.
LandVac vacuum glazing also has a lower weight and thickness than double and triple glazing, which limits its application due to its bulky and heavy structure. VIG can achieve a similar or better sound insulation performance than triple glazing with a thinner and lighter structure, which makes it more suitable for retrofitting existing buildings or constructing new ones.
